**International flights Auckland –Mexico & Havana –Auckland are in addition to costs stated above . As there can be seasonal specials on airfares these can vary between NZ$2300 and $3500 depending on when they are purchased and which route. We suggest LAN Airlines via Santiago or there is a choice of airlines via USA .We will quote you the best airfares at the time of booking and keep you informed on any seasonal specials between time of booking and departure

Does not include:
Airport taxes, visas, meals, personal spending such as laundry, phone calls, travel insurance, medical expenses. (note that breakfast is not generally included in Mexico – however food is cheap there.
Please allow $100 USD for departure taxes , tips to local guides & drivers and airport taxes.
Notes:
Visas are not required for Mexico or Guatemala - Latin American officials are very document minded and it is essential to always carry your passport inside your clothes in money belt or leave in the hotel safe.
Visa Is required for Cuba
ALL MONEY MUST BE IN US DOLLARS - NOTE YOU CANNOT
USE CREDIT CARDS IN CUBA
It is advisable to bring most of your money in US dollars cash including some small US notes. Cash is much easier to change and gets much better rates than Travellers Cheques although for safety reasons you may prefer to bring half and half. We advise you not to rely on credit cards as the interest and tax charged on these can be as high as 18%. By all means bring one for emergencies only.
Travel Insurance - is compulsory.

Cuba: 1 Cuban Dollar = .1.20 USD

Tipping - It is customary to tip 10% at all restaurants
throughout Central or South America plus show your appreciation
of any local guides used.
